MEET THE FARMERS AT THISTLE ROCK FARM

Getting ready for spring planting

On April 11 Steve Daily, former mayor and Ivy Tech chancellor, and Michelle Martin, former manager of the Kokomo Event & Conference Center, will be our speakers.  They have farmed together for ten years and love it, even though the work is hard, the hours long, and the conditions unpredictable.  You will hear about their organic farm, raising apples, free-range chickens, and chemical-free produce from non-GMO organic seed. And don’t forget to ask them about solar panels, the extra activities at Thistle Rock, and their booth at the Kokomo Farmers’ Market.

The mission of Interfaith Power & Light is to be faithful stewards of Creation by responding to global warming through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Our group meets on the second Thursday 10 times a year.  We invite individuals and persons of all faith communities.
