Welcome Olesya Savinkova on Sunday Morning August 4
We will have a guest artist at the service on Sunday, August 4. Olesya Savinkova, from Russia, and now serving as Minister of Music at Servants of Christ, Indianapolis, will play two solo handbell pieces! One ringer, many bells! She played at Synod Assembly 2019 with roaring applause! Please mark your calendars, invite friends, and be at Christ on August 4!
Originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Olesya has lived in Indiana for almost 11 years now. She graduated with a bachelors of science degree in music from Manchester College (University). While there, she sang in 2 choirs, played in the orchestra and band, and accompanied the vocal and instrumental students. She became a member of SOC in 2010. She has sung/accompanied SOC choir and has been ringing in the handbell choir. She became full-time director of SOC handbell choir in January 2014. She has been singing in the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir since August 2014. In her spare time, Olesya likes to read, listen to music, play solo handbells, scrapbook and play with her puggle Polly.
