Mayoral Candidates Discuss Local Environmental Issues
On Thursday, October 10th, Kokomo Area Creation Care meeting will sponsor a forum with Kokomo’s two mayoral candidates, Republican Tyler Moore and Democrat Abbie Smith. Sandra Grant from the League of Women Voters will act as moderator. Our members have questions for the candidates on their plans and thoughts on improving our local environment. We are concerned how climate change is, and will continue to, affect the quality of life for our community.
The meeting is free and open to all and will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church on 3401 S. Dixon Rd. Refreshments will be served following the forum.
The mission of the Hoosier Interfaith Power & Light is to be faithful stewards of Creation by responding to global warming through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Our group meets on the second Thursday 10 times a year. We invite individuals and persons of all faith communities.
